Mayor Drive

There's nothing special about this street , it's just where I walk pass every single day. I take an AUT shuttle bus (actually, I'm an AU student so shh hehe) from hostel. It takes 20 minutes normally, it depends on the traffic condition though. The shuttle stops at one bus stop on Mayor drive and I have to walk up to school in about 3-5 minutes.

Stir Fry for Lunch Today

I've been eating out for almost 2 weeks now. Well, it's such a waste of money. It's not because I'm lazy to cook or something but the thing is our apartment is getting worse. We lost all the forks, fry pan, pot, and plates. And sometimes, friends asked to eat out so yeah. But hey I just cooked my lunch today. Have a look. Does it look nice or not?

[Changed] Old National Anthem?

I found this on my old hard drive. As I recall, We were given before we went to Preah Vihea (a field trip organised by Chea Sophara before he was dissmissed from Phnom Penh Mayor position) I think I was told that it was our old national anthem but I am not sure because it was 3 years back while I was doing my study in Royal Phnom Penh University of Fine Art. So if anyone can confirm this, please leave a comment. Thanks.

[Added:] According to Kaly and Seserak's comments, this is not our old national anthem. My apology. I was mistaken by picking the corrupted information from my bad memory cell.

A Quote On Simplicity Of Nature

" The simplicity of nature is not to be measured by that of our conceptions. Infinitely varied in its effects, nature is simple only in its causes, and its economy consists in producing a great number of phenomena, often very complicated, by means of a small number of general laws. "

Frustration *$#@)#

I almost broke my pc into pieces. I just sumbitted my assignment. My deadline was 23:00 today and the time my assignment was submitted was 22:56:33. I could have fnished it earlier than that. As the time went close the deadline, my pc kept freezing from time to time. Every a few lines of code (program) i edited, my pc froze and I couldn't do anything at all beside looking at the time at the corner of my computer screen and waiting for it to come to state where i could use it again. I think it's because of the software i used for writting the program kept updating the internal state as I changed the code and at the same time my antivius progrom kept asking to scan files made my pc real slow. I was like I was gonna crush my pc if it still froze like that. Actually, it wasn't like that before, it was doing its jobs smoothly in the day. You know how it feels like when you almost finish your work and at the same time you're getting to the deadline as well, frustrated, right? Yeah, I was so damned frustrated even more because of the thing I've just told you. Plus, by the time I almost got everything done, a few msn messages poped up and my pc got back to it "stone" state. I said to myself "oh omg, I'm not gonna make it." As it got back to normal, I open the firefox, accessed webdrop box (for dropping assignments), and then I had the wait impatiently for 2 or 3 minutes for the assignment file to get uploaded to the computer server. *sigh* Finally, submission was done and it said submission time was 22:56:33 and blah blah blah. I felt relaxed but still mad at the things that delayed me.

Gangsta 37

Hehe look, what happened when I wasn't around. This photo is by Waza. 37 is an apartment number. They, people in that photo, all don't stay in that apartment, just most of them and we all hang out in that apartment, yeah most of the time.

Wake Me Up When The Winter Ends

I thought I liked winter because Cambodia is hot every month of the year. It's never been cold. The lowest temp is like 25c in January if I'm not wrong. But now it turns out that I don't like winter, even though it's not really cold in Auckland. I started to find out the pros and cons of things. Now, it comes to winter. I found loads of bad points about it and just a few good points that I can find.

First of all, I hate getting in the morning in winter. It's the thing I hate the most about winter because it's cold and I don't feeling doing anything at all. It's not just me but all of my friends are the same when it comes to this. Secondly, yeah it's easy for us to get a cold or flu. I haven't totally recovered from it yet. You know, when it's cold we have to find things to keep us warm, there are so many things, right, but all of them cost money. Well, things like buying more clothes, spend more power on hot shower and heater, and finally we tend to eat more in order to keep our body warm and most of the time we just can't help coz cold weather makes us hungry hehe. The sky always looks gloomy and sad. We can't go to the beach and more.
Well, good things about winter. I couldn't find many really. Snow sports like skiing and snowboarding? for me, i'm into it so yeah. The most obvious thing is the diversity in seasons. Yeah, diversity makes the world more colorful and different (from one season to another.) We see the snow, the tree leaves turn orange, the tree braches without leaves hehe. It looks cool thought. What else? I can't find more. Let me know if you have something to enjoy during winter.

After all, I like summer. It's nice and shiny.

Symmetry

I took this photo about five or six years back. We were on the way back to Phnom Penh from Kompongsom. If you draw a line just right in the middle vertically, the left side and the right side of the photo like alike. Do you reckon? Well, can you tell how many people on that motobike?

The Outside World

Was borned in a place with pure and true love, when I came out and saw the world for the very first time I thought the outside world would be as lovely as home. After years, I realized that the outside world is so not pure and polluted by bad people. They trick, they deceive, they do everything to keep them survive, to keep them entertained, to keep them happy. They care no others but themself. Seen many faces, I thought insides are as different as they look but most of them are no difference at all. There's always an exception though. Some people are really nice regardless of how they look, where they come from, and the way they live. But this kind of people, the ones who truly care and love, is really hard to find. Thanks to the good people out there.

Spotlight From the Sun

This photo was taken yesterday at around 2pm or so. I was raining and the sky was so dark as but suddenly the rain just stopped. I was in my room It was like night eh but then I saw light shine through my window curtain. I folded the curtain and I was like wow cool as. The sky was still dark but there was like a spotlight projecting to one building of the hostel that I live in. I was much nicer than what you see in the photo. Yeah, i could have taken it better than that.

Finally i have it. It was on order for 3 weeks. It's so unbelievable that they took 3 weeks for an order from Australia. It should have been 3 days instead. Well, campusit(computer shop) sucks.

A Random Figure

I'm not good at drawing or anything but I wanna express something in form of visual. I sat around some random things just came to my mind so I started to draw the pictures of that things. I've been drawing lots of weird figures but this is the only I kept. Well, I should have kept them all.

You know what, when I try to draw like somthing i won't be able to mentally picture anything at all. That kinda things happen to me unintentionally only.

With this drawing, I started with rectangle shape (for the head) but at the time I started to draw I didn't know what I was drawing. From that, it was like my hand was guided heheh so yeah that's my drawing.

After the rain is gone...

Back home, in Cambodia, there's always sunshine after the rain is gone (of course, in daytime). And we use there's always sunshine after the rain is gone to mean everything is gonna be fine to cheer people up when they are upset or have problems but here, in New Zealand, it is so not applicable because the sky is still gloomy after raining. Or it tells us that after one problem there's another one to come right after?
